Choosing a set

6 or 8 air chambers: what is the difference?

Full Rebound set laid out: two boots, hose set and control unit

Rebound makes two sets of compression boots: the standard set with 6 air chambers per leg and the PRO with 8. Everything else is the same. So what does that difference mean in practice, and which one suits you?

What do the air chambers do?

Each boot is made of separate chambers stacked from your foot to the top of your thigh. They fill with air one by one, hold for a moment and release. That creates a wave of pressure that runs up your leg from bottom to top.

The difference between 6 and 8

With 8 chambers, each chamber is smaller. The pressure builds in smaller steps and the wave up your leg feels longer and more gradual. With 6 chambers the rhythm is slightly coarser, but you get the same build-up from foot to thigh.

What is the same?

  • 6 built-in programmes
  • Pressure from 30 to 260 mmHg, in steps of 5
  • Rechargeable control unit with over 4 hours of battery
  • Four sizes by height: Small, Medium, Large and Extra Large
  • 1-year warranty

Which one should you choose?

Choose the standard set (6 chambers) if you use your boots a few times a week after training or races, or if compression boots are new to you.

Choose the PRO (8 chambers) if you use them almost every day, or if you prefer a longer, more gradual build-up of pressure.

Parts are not interchangeable

A 6-chamber control unit and hose set only work with 6-chamber boots, and the same goes for 8. If you order a spare unit or a new hose set later, count the chambers on one boot first. Not sure? Mail us at info@reboundshop.com.
